Career and Technical Education
Midlothian Independent School District offers 22 Programs of study, each enabling students the ability to earn an endorsement(s) by their senior year. Students choose their Program of Study in the Eighth grade based on their career goals after high school and begin working to complete them in Ninth grade. If a student wishes to change their Program of Study, they must do so by the end of their Ninth grade year in order to have enough time to complete a pathway by graduation.
Students have the ability to earn an Industry Based Certification aligned to their Program of Study which can be used for post-secondary success. This certification is aligned with a specific class within the Program of Study your student will take in their high school career.
Each of the Programs of Study, linked below, connects you to a summary of the Career Cluster, careers within that cluster and the sequence of courses your student must complete to complete their Program of Study at Midlothian ISD.
