College/University

When students select a specific college/university to attend, it is always best practice to research those institutions before automatically committing to them. This is a location, a home of sorts, you are committing to spending a few years of your life at--make sure it is counting in all possible ways.

Some things to look for and keep in mind as you select your college/university:

  • Is the program you are studying for up to your standards to help YOU meet future goals and ambitions?
  • What is the cost (monetary, social, emotional, and physical) that you will incur by choosing that college/university?
  • How does the college/university compare to others with the same programs of study?

COLLEGE TIMELINE

  • At the beginning of your Senior year, students who are interested in college/university life after high school should research several, not just one, institution and begin applying.
